Wow, everyone pulled out of the red now, thanks to a reasonably bullish stock market (including mixed emotions today)

Michelle takes a lead, and mahesh gets thrashed (was that due to apple? mahesh, pls comment). The mysterious crazywhiteguy00 is still rockin'

The movi saga

Movie gallery saga continues. After the 40 million shares that traded hands on the day it shot up from 3 bux to 5, yesterday was the reverse, where 20 million dumped and short sold the stock from >6 bucks to 2.99 where it closed.

I plan to watch it carefully, & short it right now. I see a down side until about $2.50

On another note, I wish I had been a little more patient about covering my shorts for SMSI. I lost money on what could have been a terrific short.

AAPL

This is a good time to buy AAPL. With the WWDC opening on Monday, the stock is bound to go up artificially with Jobs' "reality distortion field" in full effect. You know the drill, Jobs announces new products, says how kickass the previous quarter/year has been, Walt Mossberg gets his hands on new Apple products and says how kickass they are, and the stock goes up. I'll definitely pick up some AAPL tomorrow.

Update: Looks like I spoke to soon. I didn't see the story about earnings restatement and the usual accounting creativity happening at Apple. AAPL will get hammered today, but it might just be temporary because next week will bring good news.

SBUX

the buy pressure is now greater than the sell pressure on sbux, now that it has been beaten down severely over something that was actually in line with the estimates. future estimates have been lowered, so it got beaten down, but will pick up when those estimates will be beaten by a penny or two.

Intel

As you guys know, I have little or no idea about how to invest, so it's easy for me decide on what to invest on if there is no money involved. I just go by my gut feeling about the company. On that theory, I decided to invest on INTC (Intel) today. They have been down in the dumps for a long time, and looking at the way things are going these days, they are bound to fight back and give AMD a good competition. Let's see how this pans out.
